Leading a team of engineers on the architecture and delivery of Microsoft Cloud security and Azure solutions across a wide client base and a mix of consulting engagements alongside managing the internal security of the Ingentive hosted client platforms.

Working as an independent team member across the Managed Detection and Response team within the Managed Services area of Cyber Risk. I directly advise on the architecture and strategy for the MDR service offering including SIEM, EDR, NDR and EASM solutions, working through a mix of collaboration internally and working directly with vendors to assess products and various security toolsets for use within the organisation. Co-ordinating designs and planning with a large cross section of internal teams to ensure new vendor solutions are tested and documented before sale and implementation.Alongside technical product management I work directly with both solutions engineering teams and customers as part of major sales activities or with customers in service as a cloud security SME.Within business transformation v-teams I am responsible for managing new vendor portals and ensuring success is being reflected.

As the tech lead for Akari I had a core focus on the Microsoft Cloud solution stack including Azure and Microsoft 365. Providing expertise on the business and technology value of the cloud offerings and how they can be fit into individual environments.As CTO I was responsible for the development and strategy for apps and IT strategy as a whole including best practice for customer architecture, engagements and internal cloud platforms.Working with the technical team we orchestrated the development of referenceable architectures for Azure and Power Platform deployments which can span different levels of technologies. These can include Migration, Centre of Excellence, Security & Governance and Dev/Cloud Ops.Acting as a trusted cloud advisor across multiple verticals and customers of all sizes in the UK and with multi-national reach, working across evangelisation, architecture and deployment for each engagement to ensure best practice delivery and knowledge transfer to aid each customers journey into the cloud.

My role as a Technology Centre Engineer/Architect was to manage the Edinburgh Microsoft Technology Centre. I support the accounts team and various Microsoft partners in customer facing sessions to answer questions regarding the entire suite of Microsoft products primarily Office 365, Azure and Devices. I also run various sessions myself such as Customer Immersion Experiences/Strategy Briefings, Device Experiences and Enterprise Mobility Suite Demos. I've supported multiple sessions across different business verticals each with separate challenges. Occasionally I have travelled to customer sites to give presales consultation and also worked with partners in the early stages of Azure Everywhere workshops, representing Microsoft and all Azure capabilities. I am responsible for managing the utilization of the Technology Centre including the Envisioning Suite, Skype Room Systems and Datacenter. As part of the role I liaise with MTC partners who provide training on various equipment to make use of whilst running sessions. Primarily to show the integration of Microsoft products. I support the wider Edinburgh office by attending events such as ScotEdge, where I evangelize Microsoft products and services but also provide information about schemes such as BizSpark. These events are attended by a wide array of people from around the UK ranging from Developers to Directors. Aside from my usual role I have provided consultancy and training to Scottish charities such as Street Soccer Scotland (Devices, SharePoint, O365) and Aberlour (website consultancy).
