I founded Hernshead Recruitment in July 2019 with Lord Sugar. The world didn't really need another Recruitment Agency (let's be honest) but you're stuck with us now. So why did I add to the already crowded market of Recruitment and why did Lord Sugar think we would be a useful addition: This isn't the part where I tell you we're "different" or "unique" because to be really honest we're not that different day to day. We still recruit much like everyone else, using LinkedIn, job boards and our relationships in the market. However I'm passionate about a few things which led to me wanting to start Hernshead:1) The fact that Technology & Engineering are converging more and more each day and companies are being challenged to keep up with that. Myself and Lord Sugar felt there was a market for a Recruitment Agency that understood that and provided a complete service whether you were a Technology Business being pulled into Engineering or an Engineering business rapidly having to become more Technology focused.2) Helping promote the industry to young people to encourage the next generation of Skills! As such we've partnered with a great charity who help promote STEM Education and donate a % of our Turnover to them to help them carry out the fantastic work they do. Along with this all our consultants are encouraged to become STEM Ambassadors.3) Being honest with clients. If one of our Consultants is still training and learning then we're not going to brand them as "an expert" or a "market specialist". We'll be honest about the recruitment experience they have, the positions they have filled and ensure that they are fully trained (and that includes actual courses for the industry they specialise in).
