I Leadership Developer I Executive Coach I Facilitator I Trainer I i-lab@HE I Innovation I Transition Management I Consultant My name is Tom Kennie and I specialise in leadership development and innovation with a particular focus on higher education and professional service organisations. I work with individuals (as a coach), groups (to develop teams) and organisations (to enhance performance and foster innovation). Through Ranmore (www.ranmore.co.uk) we have built a strong community of leadership developers who can offer a wide range of leadership and management development programmes and processes. Also as founder of the i-lab@HE (www.i-lab-he.org) I'm creating a community of innovators and resources to foster innovation and creativity in higher education.I was a founding Co-Programme Director for the Leadership Foundation for HE/Advance HE Top Management Programme (TMP) a 6 month leadership programme for those in the most senior roles in universities I have worked with over 600 senior leaders in HE, over 100 of whom are now in Vice Chancellor or Chief Executive positions.I also work internationally, for example, as Programme Facilitator for the Senior Dental Leaders (SDL) programme run jointly between King's College London and the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, an annual programme to build a global community of leaders who support the work of the Global Child Dental Fund (www.gcdfund.org). I've also worked with a number of HE institutions in Southern Africa (Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe) on an Academic Leaders Programme (ALP) through the Southern Africa Consortium for Research Excellence (SACORE) (www.sacore.org).Most recently developed a new area of practice focussed on Leadership Transitions in Universities. Together we managed to publish two books on 'Engineering Surveying Technology' and 'Digital Terrain Modelling in Civil Engineering' with other colleagues plus another one on 'Remote Sensing in Civil Enginering'. My interest in leadership development also started at Surrey where I was very fortunate to meet and work with Professor John Adair, who was at the time on of two Professors of Leadership in the world. His influence was and continues to have been significant.As a family we lived on the campus for 7 years during which time I was Warden of Guildford and Catherdral Courts. Memorable days! -

At the time the institution was known as the College of Arts, Science & Technology (CAST). It is now known at the University of Technology in Kingston Jamaica.Many, many memories of surveying field course in Negril, at the time one of the most beautiful beaches on the island.
