I am a experienced leader of medium sized to large companies like ING, Nationale Nederlanden, VGZ and have been CEO-positions over the last 21 years. I am open to supervisory, advisory or interim positions.My passion is to really change organizations towards a new strategic direction. I do that by highly involving the various teams and other stake holders to define “the problem to solve”, then create a joint sense of urgency and make a clear and focused plan of action, implement, stick to it and get results. Keep things simple and focus on what your customer really wants. Once discussed, debated and decided I expect everybody to fully support the new strategy. Within these settings I a put a lot of confidence in the teams and the individuals involved. Trust and room-to-manouvre spark often time creative ideas and sometimes bold decision making with surprising results and great satisfaction at all levels as I experienced in Mexico myself where a massive quality issue in our sales force needed a swift and unconventional solution with a great result in the end. I like to create an environment where others can shine, can develop themselves and where all benefit with of course the appropriate control frame work in place. I love to have firm and honest debates with colleague professionals to find out the best course of action. I need space to do all this. I am not a micromanager nor want to be micromanaged myself. Meetings need to be sharp and short, a place to take decisions, for some self reflection and a laugh.
