I was the product management "single threaded lead" for software on multiple VR devices including Quest Pro, responsible for vision, strategy, and requirements for software across the program. I was an individual contributor (Director equivalent level) working across many teams and thousands of engineers.

Responsible for the Oculus SDK and tools and the Oculus Browser. For a year, I was also responsible for "VROS", the operating system for Quest. Launched Quest 1 and 2. Gave "developer keynote" talks at Oculus Connect. Met extensively with third party devs. Hired through a period of "hypergrowth".

Director of "Engagement" which included application UX across all devices, as well as recommendations/search (ML). Responsible for discovery and overall navigation and experience. Established a data-obsessed culture within my PM org. Wrote the bi-weekly engagement report sent to the C-suite and other executives across the company explaining changes in.

Led teams on multiple initiatives in the Xbox One era: Xbox Game Streaming to other devices (allowing remote play), Xbox App (iOS, Android), Win10 Xbox Live integration, OneGuide (voice control of TV and living room A/V components), and media strategy.

Transitioned to PM, and spent about a year on an incubation team, writing code personally as well as doing more traditional product work. Hololens: Inside-out tracking and SLAM, including hardware/sensor selection and developer APIs. Xbox: TV & Video app experience, with the goal of simplifying discovery and organization of video content using Kinect.

Relocated to London on a 3-year assignment as head of engineering for a new game/app studio. Engineering lead on partnerships with Sky TV (UK) and Canal+ (FR), shipping several "firsts" for game consoles - first live streaming TV app (Sky), first sports video app (Foot+), and co-watching of live TV (Sky & Canal+). Launched Kinect, adding voice and gesture.

Led the v1 of Xbox LIVE Parties, from the conceptual stage through launch. Also launched Messenger for Xbox 360, partnered with Rare (game studio) on the architecture for Xbox 360 Avatars (I was granted a patent on the design), and launched a variety of other Xbox LIVE features.

Remote filesystems team. NFS and offline caching of Windows file shares. Low-level operating system work including kernel drivers, system services, and performance.
