Project Engineer
CurrentCabramatta Loop Project - State Significant Infrastructure railway construction project- 1.65km track duplication, 550m track realignment, 2 new bridges over road and creek, 680m of realigned retaining wall and road- Urban brownfield challenges included live track overhead wires, shared corridor between ARTC and Sydney Trains, local residents, waterways, dense underground services- Involved since breaking ground in construction phase, until handover and closeout in commissioning phase- Various disciplines I was across within the project included road civils, bridges and retaining wall structures, and railway track & civilMy responsibilities included (but aren't limited to)- Daily site reports of site activity, progress against program, WHS safety, rail safety, environmental, quality, commercial conditions- Performing regular safety inspections and audits, which contributed to the annual MCP Safety Award 2022- Reviewing and performing site audits on Worksite Access Programs - a project document that outlines controls for each construction activity to adhere to ARTC rail safeworking rules- Liaising with the supporting team members within safety, rail safety, environmental, project controls, designers, communications & stakeholders, to manage the Principal Contractor to the correct level of standard and practice- Verifying the Principal Contractor's program submissions to the actual progress on site- Managing deliverables to prepare for the possession weekends, including driving t-minus meetings and tracking documentation deliverables- Reviewing and verifying Construction Method Statements for each possession to actual site conditions and available resources to verify its viability- Reviewing redlines on As-Commissioned drawings to verify its accuracy to construction history on site through my daily site reports- Managing defects and the Principal Contractor to rectify defects to satisfy the contract and our stakeholders
