As COO of the Satellite Agency Network (SAN Group), Tom is responsible for the operations of the largest alliance of independent insurance agencies in the Northeast, writing over $1.7 billion in total member premiums annually. SAN Group has over 500 members spanning across nine states and is the founding Master Agency of SIAA, the largest partnering insurance agency alliance in the nation.Prior to joining SAN Group, Tom was AVP & Region Director at Safeco Insurance responsible for leading a team of outside Senior Territory Managers across CT, MA, and RI and for growing Safeco profitability and building strong agency partnerships.Tom joined Liberty Mutual in 2004 as a Business Analyst in the Personal Markets Actuarial Department. In 2005, he became a Supervising Senior Business Analyst in the Affinity Marketing Underwriting Department. In 2007, Tom transitioned into what eventually became the Senior Branch Manager of the Danvers Local Sales Office. In 2015, Tom then went on to lead a countrywide team of Account Executives and was responsible for increasing Employer Segment business and profitability through new business growth, account penetration, and retention of existing relationships.Prior to joining Liberty Mutual, Tom worked as a Finance/Premium Administrator for a small Insurance Services Company. Tom has his Bachelor’s degree from Boston College in Mathematics and Secondary Education. He has his MBA from Salem State University with a concentration in Management Information Systems. He resides in North Andover, Massachusetts with his wife and two daughters.
