    Working this role from my Perth base I continued to tender and re-engineer the supply of products to the members giving massive benefits their bottom line and ease of ordering and planogram management was best practice for the industry. Some of the milestones were, the development of the Pharmacy Alliance Generic Matrix (PAGM) this for the first time allowed a Pharmacy to have every generic product and the lowest cost in the market from the four leading manufacturers. Re-tendering wholesale supply twice in this period due to Government and wholesale changes to the PBS (PBS Reform). This was benchmarked by the level of growth we achieved going from 100 to over 420 members by 2012 with annual purchasing in excess of 450 million in wholesale pharmaceuticals. In 2012 with an eye to expending into other markets I sold my remaining shares to the pharmacists who continue to manage it today. PA continues today as a strong member based group in retail pharmacy with over 500 stores and 10% of the PBS sales for Australia.

    This began as a partnership between myself and Simon Reynolds a second generation Pharmacist. I tendered for the supply of wholesale pharmaceuticals to their five retail pharmacies. I then re-negotiated all supply contracts with Big Pharma coving 85% of product in the retail pharmacies. The result was an increase to GP by about 5%. The next few years were spend developing the business divisions, growing the membership and re-tendering the strategic products for the Pharmacy Alliance group. By 2006 we were over 70 members and had expanded to the east coast of Australia to allow for the continued growth by 2007 we were over 100 members. At this stage I resigned as Managing Director as head office was now in Melbourne and Simon had relocated to manage the business. My role then concentrated on procurement and supporting Simon as the Managing Director.
