CurrentI founded Estate Tea Co (Estate Tea Merchants Ltd) in 2015 as a luxury tea supplier which operates as a wholesaler, online shop and retail store. Since then, I have successfully expanded Estate Tea Co’s operations into the speciality cafe, restaurant and bar trade. Operations now include:B2B wholesale operations supplying tea to cafes, restaurants and hotels in the UK and Europe.B2C online retail sales using the Shopify sales platform.B2C in person retail sales at the Estate Tea Co store.B2C speciality Japanese restaurant, cafe and bar open 7 days a week.Key Responsibilities:Driving company growth strategy for both online and wholesale operations and increasing revenue across the UK and Europe.Account management for 70 trade / wholesale customers in the UK and Europe. Notable retail client accounts include Selfridges, Fenwick stores and Wholefoods Market.Converting high level clients from the cold-lead stage, all the way through to long-term customers.Experience in writing successful bids and proposals for clients.Stock management, customer ordering and dispatch processes for online sales and wholesale customers.Import experience of our primary product (tea) from India, China, Japan and Sri Lanka. Involved in every aspect of the product; from sourcing, all the way to a shelf ready product.Fully designed the company branding, logo’s, digital assets and website. Developed custom packaging solutions that are both sustainable and eco-friendly.Successfully forecasting sales, managing cashflow, handling accountancy and payroll services.Experience in securing investment and funding, including a successful crowdfunding campaign that reached 124% of its goal.Successfully opened and operated 2 retail stores / cafes (2018 and 2020).Experience running an online store using the Shopify platform, which generates £120,000 annually.Good experience of interviewing, hiring and onboarding staff. Experience of building and maintaining an excellent team dynamic.
