I have worked in advertising since I was 16, long before the internet. I started in radio advertising, then went on to agency copywriting. I have worked for agencies, in-house, and freelance. I have been a copywriter, a designer, a proofreader, an account executive, a production process designer, a paste-up artist (when it really was paste-up), a digital finished artist/Mac operator (when we got rid of the gumbo).When the internet came along, I jumped in with both feet to learn web design and development. I am comfortable writing in PHP, ColdFusion, (X)HTML, SQL, CSS, Javascript. I have created and maintained sites in a number of different CMSs. I am fine organising hosting, setting up servers, managing email, recording web analytics, and all the other back-end tasks that make things run smoothly. And in all this, I make sure that the online presence reflects the brand identity and marketing objectives.
