What is the purpose of education?Often, this question is set aside as if the answer has been decided on once and for all. What I aim to do through my practice as a teacher, leader and educational researcher is provide an invitation and opportunity for teachers and school leaders to thoughtfully consider the importance of this question and how various aims of education come to shape their work in schools. By doing so, my hope is to support a greater sense of agency and intentionality within schools, where teachers and school leaders can more effectively align practice with value.To achieve this goal and live out this question, I teach, reflect, write, network, coach, and mentor.
