I am a recent graduate from Carleton's Architectural Conservation and Sustainability Engineering program. The way that I like to describe the degree is a structural engineering degree with a focus in building science, and heritage conservation. While finishing my degree I pursued my passion in heritage by working at the City of Ottawa as a Heritage Planning Assistant, and by participating in a two week workshop for heritage documentation practices in Myanmar. What led me to Carleton's program was that I had previously finished a Bachelor of Art History and wanted to find a way to preserve heritage and culture in our built environment. While in school I worked many diverse jobs from the restaurant business, to telemarketing, and within the security industry. Currently I am working as a Mobile Patrol Guard for Gardaworld, and am looking to make the transition into the Engineering, and Heritage world.
