As the Employee Benefits Leader for Brown & Brown, I provided strategic direction and led over 20 offices and 200 employee benefit colleagues in the Southeastern United States. I focused on revenue generation, client retention strategies, operational workflows and improving carrier relationships. I worked closely with our national leadership team to deliver strategic initiatives. The region I lead was successful increasing YOY organic growth by over 200% and improving margins amid challenges presented during the pandemic. Driven by a deep passion for entrepreneurship, the desire to address consultative gaps in the industry, and a vision to foster a dynamic servant leadership culture, I made the decision in early 2021 to step away from Brown & Brown and embark on an exciting new journey by founding Level 3 Benefit Advisors.

I served as President for the Employee Benefits division of Marsh & McLennan Agency’s Florida Region. We developed a multi-year strategic plan to grow revenues and enhance the operational and sales structure. During this time the region transitioned from the worst performing in the country, to one of the top performing regions year over year, achieving almost double-digit organic growth. Prior to this role, I was Market President for Central and North Florida. I oversaw the offices, including their Employee Benefits and Property & Casualty Insurance teams.

As a consultant with Gallagher Benefit Services, I implemented creative cost take-out strategies and compliance solutions for employer sponsored health and welfare programs. This included analyzing cash outflows for medical and prescription drug claims. The overriding focus was to pinpoint cost drivers and enact measures to reduce long-term trends. I managed multiple clients with medical and pharmacy expenses in excess of $50M. A proponent of consumerism, I was successful developing employee engagement initiatives that integrated my client’s broader benefit program goals and strategies. These opportunities included managing lifestyle risks by changing participant behavior, increasing preventive care, consumerism and condition management. In addition, my responsibilities included navigating health care reform for clients and ensuring that they understood the financial implications of required changes to their health & welfare plans.

Joint venture with Mercer to drive opportunities for Health and Benefits brokerage and advisory services while also participating in the Real Estate Risk Practice within Marsh.
