Database expert that can do both the architecture and the implementation. My goal is to find a new opportunity that needs both!* Extensive experience with Relational Databases, internals, performance and tuning, caching, building drivers, and building complex C/C++/Java applications which use these databases either directly or via drivers.* Data based performance analysis: modern systems are often so complex that changes that "should" help, don't! When possible, use quick, focused experiments to see if proposed changes matter, allowing other parts of the system to break during the experiment.* IBM Lotus Notes Database internals expert, Domino Server internals expert, especially Replication. In addition, IBM Lotus Domino Directory Catalog and Aggregation expert.* I enjoy attacking and solving complex system level problems whose resolution makes a difference for the user. I've done this numerous times in the past, and look forward to doing it again in the future!Specialties: - Relational databases: DB2, Oracle & SQL Server; drivers for these including ODBC and JDBC drivers: performance and tuning.- Lotus Notes/Domino: database internals, server internals, especially Replication; Directory Catalog and Aggregation.- LDAP V3.0, especially Active Directory and ADAM (AD Lightweight Directory Services.)- Analyzing complex, distributed, stateful problems such as those that occur in Replication among many servers and also Directory Catalog Aggregation across servers.tommcgary@comcast.net
