I was the director for a student-run events company during my time at Oxford. I was single-handedly responsible for many of our biggest projects, particularly Freshers' Week. One of my big focuses was to take control of the company's brand and social media strategy. Through my work in these areas I was able to help build the company from a relatively successful promotion company to the biggest promotion company in the university.

During the summer of 2016 I worked for Tesco for 10 weeks as part of an internship scheme. I worked in the Trade Analysis team and got firsthand experience in manipulating and interpreting data. I independently worked on a project to build a model for forecasting individual transaction numbers for the firm, which they sought to use after I'd left. It was a really rewarding experience in which I added to my knowledge of quantitative analysis and enjoyed working on a project that gave me a large amount of autonomy and would genuinely progress the company after I left.
