Serves as the advisor to the regional commander, subordinates, and environmental remediation managers in matters associated with government-to-government consultation with Alaska Native tribes and Native Hawaiian organizations associated with 43 remote radar sites and more than 60 communities, and nearly 90 Alaska Native Corporations across Alaska and the Pacific Theater pursuant to local, agency, and federal instructions, guidelines, and other applicable guidance.Propagation of these GTG consultations is paramount to ensuring meaningful relationships between the tribes and the U.S. federal government.

Conducts the Public Affairs Community Relations program in support of the Commander, Alaskan Command (ALCOM); Commander, NORAD Region (ANR); and Commander, Eleventh Air Force. Integrates military activities within the Alaska Joint Operating Area, while fostering quality relationships with the communities throughout Alaska to ensure understanding, acceptance, and support of the military mission in Alaska.

Directs Civil Engineer environmental Community Involvement functions for 2 NORAD Forward Operating Locations, King Salmon & Eareckson AS, and 15 active & 20 inactive remote Alaskan communication/radar sites, and 7 such sights in the South Pacific. This vast Area of Responsibility constitutes Pacific Air Forces' second largest cumulative base of 37,110 acres, 12 active airfields, and 1,119 facilities valued at $4.122B. Assures environmental compliance for 60,780 square miles of military air training space. Supports 11 AF engineer planning and contingency ops. As the Native Affairs Liaison, represents the USAF in face-to-face relationships with more than 40 Alaska Native Tribes by ensuring meaningful consultation and collaboration; thus propagating the longstanding government-to-government relationship between Native nations and the U.S. federal government.

Planned, organized, coordinated, and conducted internal, community relations, media relations, and environmental communications activities. Managed the office budget, manpower, and virtually every aspect of office operations. Reviewed and coordinated on all CERCLA and DERA repository inputs. Directed, managed, and supervised 11 personnel and production of weekly 24+ page base newspaper plus management and oversight of installation Web site, Commander’s Access Channel, Commander’s Action Line and Commander’s Straight Talk Line.

Directed, managed, and supervised 21 personnel, managing 3 Numbered Air Forces and 38 Wings/Groups. Responsible for Public Affairs personnel and equipment for force posturing and resource prioritization for 180 reserve PA officers, airmen, and civilians. Planned, developed and executed AF and Major Command policy and guidance. Advised PA director on manpower and personnel training policies and requirements.

Planned, organized, coordinated, and conducted internal, community relations, and media relations communications activities. Engaged in print and broadcast journalism, to include writing, editing and publishing base newspapers, periodicals, guides, pamphlets, fact sheets, and radio and television scripts. Prepared news for internal and civilian media, arranged, conducted tours, and conducted community relations activities.
