I've worked in the public sector for over 30 years as an Interpretive Naturalist, Nature Center Manager, and manager of a group of interpretive parks. My specialized skills include staff and leadership development, mentoring, coaching, program analysis and design, and formal evaluations of facilities and programs. Along the way, I've received a Master's degree with an emphasis on supervision, leadership, and evaluation. I also hold a Doctorate with a focus on Heritage Leadership for Sustainability, Social Justice, and Participatory Culture. I'm a firm believer that our parks and other public facilities can do a better job of preparing our future leaders for success in their work and that it is critical that leaders be prepared to include everyone in our communities in the work of the facilities and resources they manage.
