I am a partner in DWF's Global Risks Team and specialise in complex, high value policy coverage disputes. I have a particular expertise in matters involving financial institutions, directors & officers, commercial crime, and negligence, by finance professionals including auditors, brokers, IFAs and underwriters. I am often instructed to resolve conflicts between layers of insurance and as monitoring counsel on litigation in other jurisdictions. I am experienced in the excess of loss, life sciences and product liability sectors, including Bermuda Form Arbitration. I also regularly work with colleagues in the Corporate Team to assist their clients with insurance queries. This involves advising not only company directors but also insolvency practitioners. I am recognised in both Chambers and Partners and in the Legal 500 (hall of fame) and am a member of the CII, BILA, the LMA and provide training to in house legal and claims teams. I am also a visiting lecture at St Mary's University College, London.Prior to joining DWF, I worked for both Aon and Beazley placing and underwriting financial institutions’ and professional indemnity risks in the Lloyd's market. On qualifying as a solicitor I spent time in Zurich Insurance’s Financial Lines Claims Team.
