• Build, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and purchase of test equipment for use at various stages of production in order to validate that the product met specifications prior to shipment; • Document product defects and maintain the Corrective and Preventive Action process as needed to ensure that the WIP (work in process) and finished products meet specifications; • Set up test equipment to evaluate performance and expedite the testing functions on assemblies, or systems. Automate test process making it faster, more effective, and more accurate; • Review existing electrical engineering criteria for customer requirements through engineering drawings to identify necessary revisions, omissions, or amendments to be used by production and suppliers alike; • Assist the New Product Development Group (NPD) by developing the test procedures or sequence of operations to test electronic or electrical equipment according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principles;• Support Quality Management System documentation and implementation as required by the Quality Manager;• Provide technical assistance and resolution to Tech Support to help troubleshoot customer field issues using strong problem solving and analytical skills;• Provide technical support or training as needed to the manufacturing department;• Conduct inspections and first article inspections (FAIR) for quality control;• Work with suppliers both domestic and international. Write Supplier Correction Action Requests (SCARs) when necessary; • Interface with customers, suppliers, and field service personnel to resolve quality issues;• Visit field sites and facilities through out the United States to rectify customer warranty issues, initiate a QA investigation as needed, and provide feedback for field quality improvement; • Travel domestically and internationally to facilitate product introduction and transfer to Emerson plants or facilities of subcontractors;

Process Development Engineer: • Design new equipment , electrical and mechanical, using various engineering techniques and AutoCAD; • Completely redesign or upgrade older production equipment to optimize efficiencies. Various pieces of equipment were upgraded and automated with new controls such as PLC (Square D), counters, proximity switches, newer technology pneumatics, and enhanced steam heating system;• As an auditor I would assure that the ISO9001Quality Management System was in compliance and that certification was maintained; • Member of the Kaizen Review Committee; • Function on Cross-Departmental Action Teams;Engineering Coordinator: • Develop plant (equipment, lighting, etc) layout for 50,000 square foot plant expansion; • International travel for design and installation of equipment; • Design and purchase lighting system for new plant and plant expansion; • On several occasions contact and coordinate with rigging companies for the purpose of moving and installing large production equipment; • Research and initiate the move towards the use of a maintenance management program; • Develop and maintain preventative boiler water chemical program; • Develop the layout of the compressed air system for plant expansion;• Implement preventive maintenance program for CAD / CAM (CNC) machinery;• Design catch basin for boiler reserve alternative fuel tanks;• Restore plant chiller cooling systems;• Troubleshoot many various electrical controls including AC and DC drives (from fractional to 1000HP), PLC (Allen Bradley), and relay logic;• Add capacitors to balance the Power Factor (PF) of the plant;• Explore the use of new technology to increase productivity, efficiency, up time, and extend preventive maintenance intervals.• Shop and purchase items from nuts and bolts up to large production capital equipment;
