I have been in the Power Production Industry for over 30 years, 15 of that in leadership. This includes Coal fired Super-Critical units, Geothermal and Solar. I was project lead over an effort to change all bargaining unit positions in one of the companies. This included new positions, pay scales, job scopes and teaching a secondary skill set to the same. I set up the curriculum for the training classes, issuing tools, setting up multi-media training stations and coordinating class attendance along with lining up instructors for the hands on training in the related fields. I also administrated the database for tracking progress. This Resulted in a 2% reduction in payroll cost to the affected positions.I recently expanded my knowledge base by completing schooling and hands-on testing that qualified me as a Certified Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester. The certification is endorsed by the American Backflow Prevention Association. I’ve built on my experience through on-the-job training and independent contract work. Along with the backflow experience I have also been contracted to calibrate the backflow gauges used in backflow assembly testing. They have to be certified annually.I am very safety conscience and won’t tolerate unsafe work behavior. I have upgraded and improved new safety procedures with all the companies I have worked for. This includes implementing new and improved Lock-Out-Tag-Out cultures. I have developed and authored OJT & JIT manuals for positions and job tasks. I have been a project manager for several major overhauls. I have been a shift Supervisor over regular ops crews and also composite crews that were made up of operators, water analysts, mechanical maintenance and E&I staff. At different times this included special projects.I have owned a computer business which included the setup of individual systems, lan systems and web page development. I have a very good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
