Profile bio

About Tommy N.

Upon retirement from the U.S. Navy, I developed a greater interest in Earth Science and began pursuing a degree in Geoscience. Prior to graduation from Southern New Hampshire University, I was part of a natural resource team where I taught new hires essential cartographic principles for use with forest products. As the primary shop GIS specialist, I was tasked with performing geospatial duties related to forest products and training new hires in forestry and cartography. Upon graduation from college, I transitioned from natural resources to geology where I applied GIS skills to a creative team of professionals. This has allowed me to enhance my GIS capabilities and grow with an industry-leading state agency that provides the public with technical leadership in Geographic Information System (GIS) products and geologic services.
