I've growth north eastern of Quebec in Canada, learned civil engineering at Baie-Comeau CEGEP (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CEGEP) for 3 years and worked 4 years in the commercial/industrial construction market there. That's where I've learn life.Then I moved to Quebec City to learn IT in Sainte-Foy CEGEP to study ITs for 18 months (accelerated). Followed a training in provincial government box and a permanent job there for 5 years where I've learned team work, integrity, well done jobs and IT systems : I'm first been in training (SQL views, Reports, html/asp) then moved to network admin status for 3 years. I've learned a lot on ITs : configuring switches, servers maintenance, Novell and migrating the tree to Active Directory (2 DCs).Then things did that I have switched to Hydro Quebec late 2003's, in Montreal, as a IT maintenance analyst. Our team was in charge of support and security of 400 mostly Netware (file servers) but Windows (applicatives) systems. After 2 years I've been promoted Domain Admin of the biggest domain (32 DCs, some with very low links) from the enterprise tree (security and infrastructure). Then things changed again. We have been merged with others and I've lost the security part but gained enterprise admin of the infrastructure. I have learned there a lot: windows server support (not just AD server, applicative and , extand a SAN partition, hardware and etc. I guess). This part last 2 years.In 2010, I applied for a IT Security Specialist job because infrastructure support was not enough for me. Understand me, I like both sides. I think that both are really close. I got the job and began in the vulnerability and risk assesment world. There is a lot to do in that domain. I love it. I have passed the CISSP exam last december, on the way to get the papers.
