I grew up in Western Howard County in Mt Airy, Maryland. I play ice hockey for the University of Delaware's Division I ACHA team, and I enjoy spending time at the beach, golfing and hanging out with friends. I am the type of person that is goal driven so when I am given a goal to accomplish, I will do everything that I can to accomplish the goal. I am currently a sophomore majoring in Constructional Engineering and Management with a minor in Business Administration.Out of high school, I decided to pursue my dreams of playing college hockey. I was recruited to a team in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL) called Team Maryland. The team played out of Odenton, Maryland, which was 45 minutes away from my home so I was able to afford the luxury of living at home. Over these two years, I dedicated 6 hours a day to being at the rink for practice, film, workouts and other things. I had to spend this time and more to force myself into the lineup so I could get into the eyes of college coaches and lower my chances of being traded or cut. Outside of the rink, I took college classes to keep my brain in an academic mindset while also working to save a little bit of money for college. I believe engineering will allow me to apply my love for math to help make the world a better place. I would love to be able to go into a field where I can directly see the results of my work such as something like constructional engineering. However, right now I'm seeking any internship opportunities that allow me to gain valuable experience in the engineering field.
