Innovative, imaginative, mercurial, ambitious, dedicated. All words that I use when asked to use single words to describe myself. I started my own business with nothing in the bank and had $13,000.00 in sales the first year, and $5M in sales the year I sold the company. Though my history is filled with Law Enforcement and Security, more importantly, it is filled with leadership, organization, management, financial, training and ownership roles, experience that can translate into any leadership role.I worked my way through college as a guard with the DoD, joined the Air National Guard as a Security Policeman, and graduated Indiana State with a BS in Criminology. I went on to become a police officer and Detective with the Richmond, VA Police Department, where I retired after 10 years. From there I ran hotel and resort security, became an Operations Manager at a resort in South Carolina, but felt the need for more. I opened my own security company in 1994, with a credit card and a prayer. I then opened a Security / Investigations and Executive Protection School, in South Carolina, and sold my successful company to a larger company in 2006, where I became VP of Security Operations. From there I went on became Regional Director for a larger company, running hospital security ion 11 states, National Account Manager for an even larger company running contract security for 12000 hours per week for a single client, before working my way to Regional Director for another company, running the mid-west operations, including 13000 hours of FedEx contract security.Due to the closing of the Regional Office, I find myself open for opportunities. I understand that sometimes we have to take a full step back so that we can take a giant leap forward, and I have done that with each move. I am not looking for a stepping stone but a landing zone, where I can bring my experience, drive, imagination, and drive.
