I have over 20 years’ experience on engineering and construction projects across South Africa, UK the Middle East and Australia in the resources, rail, energy and construction sectors. I have testified numerous times as an expert in project planning, programming and the analysis of delay and disruption, in the UK, UAE and South Africa, acted as expert determiner, and been ‘dual cross examined’. My experience in all aspects of the project life cycle provides me with a thorough understanding of the true cause and effect of project related issues. I love the steep learning curve associated with large complex project dispute work.I started construction working for main Contractors, delivered three projects on time and doubled tender profits, implemented national planning improvement programmes for two of the UK’s largest engineering companies, sat on the London Underground planning steering committee and worked in lead planning roles on multi $bn projects with EPC firms Bechtel and Parsons Brinckerhoff. I have been responsible for commercial, planning, risk and project management functions, am experienced in all phases of the project life cycle from feasibility studies through to commissioning, and have extensive experience in dispute avoidance and resolution.
