My role involves posting articles, photos and video content to Daily Mirror, Daily Star and Daily Express sport pages

A new role within the Reach Plc structure focusing on audience growth and social interaction

After impressing during my first few months with the company as a paid freelance, I was offered a full time news reporting role with Essex Live.

Supplying articles about West Ham United to the Essex Live audience online at essexlive.news/westhamunited and also supplying support to the Essex Live and Kent Live sports desk.

In January 2013, I was approached by the club and asked to expand my duties:- Started with basic match reporting and post-match reaction interview pieces- Spotted a gap in West Ham's media planning and offered to start live Twitter updates- Updates promoted to the club's 500,000+ Twitter followers- Travelled as an acting press officer to charity functions to cover the event- Interviewed prime Academy figures such as Terry Westley (Academy Director), Tony Carr (Former Academy Director), Steve Potts (U18 Manager), Mark Phillips (U18 Assistant Manager) and a number of current and former Academy players including Sam Howes, Grady Diangana, Kieran Bywater, Jordan Brown, Jahmal Hector-Ingram, Tunji Akinola, Danny Kemp, George Dobson, Lewis Page and Josh Cullen.

This role was the first that I gained with West Ham United. I was running my own personal West Ham United blog and decided to interview former Ladies captain Stacey Little about the club and the 2012/13 season.I knew that West Ham United dedicated a page in their matchday programme to Ladies content so thought I'd send the piece to my contacts at the club for them to look at and potentially use.After impressing the club with my dedication, commitment, idea and imagination, I was offered the chance to complete a written interview with a Ladies player for every West Ham United official matchday programme since, whether it be about their careers, recent games, history or upcoming events.I continued to work hard and build a good rapport with the Ladies players and staff and during the 2014/15 season, I started getting more involved with the running of the club, including running their official Twitter account and creating the Ladies programme.For the start of the 2015/16 season, I was a crucial part behind-the-scenes in promoting the club online, producing a matchday programme that many positive reviews, created and maintained a club YouTube page and helped with sponsorship packages. I set a target of getting the social media page to 20,000 followers to maintain their position as the fifth most followed Ladies football club in the United Kingdom, which was achieved.

During a short spell with a local childcare business, I was responsible for setting up the company with a number of updated social media pages and advising on internal and external communications.
