Also, authored a weekly column about sports issues on the Internet and a periodic column on sports video games, which were distributed on New York Times and Hearst Newspapers wire services and cited frequently in Sports Business Journal. Managed eight sports copy editors in/page designers in production of a section called The Sports Zone, which focused on high school sports and amateur sports in Tarrant and southern Denton counties. Five days a week, the team would produce a finished print product that took the best content from a team of 30 reporters and editors. It was a concentrated effort from August to March. In the summer downtime, the SportsZone team would help other departments. If that didn't fill the downtime, I set up HTML classes.
