I was an electrician in the U.S. Navy for 8 ½ years–served 5 ½ of those years aboard a submarine in Bangor, WA. It was during this time period that I began to realize what I truly wanted to do.I was certain that I wanted to do more than just work and retire. I wanted/yearned to make a difference in this world the best way I thought possible. My mother, at that time, had already been battling with cancer for 12 years and I wanted make an impact in the lives of people like her, but the question was: How? After a long period of going through all the things we could do to help, we made a huge decision.A decision to build the best cancer treatment clinic in the world and there was no turning back! Our approach to the development of this clinic will be different than all of the rest. We want to include the integration of Eastern and Western medicines with a focus on positive thinking, exercise, healthy eating habits, and family. Most especially, we want to create a wonderful setting for temporary living, and even, make room for fun activities! At first, this decision seemed very challenging–especially since I was at Step 1 and needed (and wanted) to be at Step 1000. I began by investing in real estate ventures in order to make the money necessary to open this clinic. We have expanded from residential to commercial real estate and now have even purchased some small businesses that have great cash flow.I work with a great team of mentors, coaches, advisers, and staff; together we truly have the same goal in mind: Do onto others as you want done unto yourself.
