PresidentCorona High School Boys Club Water Polo Booster May 2021 - Jun 2022Corona Boys Water Polo is a Non-Profit Booster Club and was set up to help the Boys Water Polo team to raise funds to support the program. This included anything from equipment, tournament fees, and trophies. Due to COVID and teams not playing the booster had lost all of its supporting volunteers and staff. At the request of the coaching staff, I stepped in to help get the program started in 2021 when High School sports were given permission to start playing again. The first thing that was accomplished is that I opened the booster to all Aquatics Programs. Allowing the other programs to use the Booster made it easier to fundraise and apply those funds to much-needed equipment. The second with only two parents volunteering to help support the Booster we were able to raise funds to purchase much-needed new equipment for the Boy's Water Polo, Girl's Water Polo, and Swim Teams. We were able to add tournaments to the year, purchase trophies to host our own tournament, and provide the fund's students who truly could not afford the program.Lastly, we were able to purchase new equipment for the snack bar to make it easier to provide a menu variety that made it quick to serve and create a revenue stream for each program. For the first time, the Snack bar not only provides revenue for each program but it is now self-funded and does not require donations from parents. -
