He has a strong background in software development, system architecture, engineering management and process improvement. Recently, he has been helping startups and established companies to build state-of-the-art web based and mobile applications. His clients are in many industries, including education, healthcare, energy, government, geo-social, retail, engineering services and so on. Before starting Aerio, Tommy was the Founder and VP of Engineering at Accela, an enterprise software provider for government agencies. Before Accela, he founded eAppointment and developed an online appointment system for the service industries. Tommy has served as the Director of Engineering and Operations for various consulting, instrumentation, control system and multimedia companies. Earlier in his career, Tommy worked at Apple Computer and IBM, where he designed laptop computers, embedded systems and managed test engineering. He holds various patents in computer hardware and software. Tommy’s education includes M.S. and B.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
