AmeriCorps NCCC FEMA Corps is a program for young adults to engage in team-based national and community service in partnership with the Federal Emergency Management Agency. As Team Leader, I supervise 7 members by facilitating leadership development, giving regular performance feedback, and balancing a $4,000 per-round budget. My daily roles range from project manager, to conflict mediator, to morale booster and more. In addition, I accomplished the following over five deployments:- Processed over 1000 disaster employees in Louisiana over 3 days through a streamlined, centralized onboarding process and produced after-action reports to improve the process in future disasters- Managed a staff responsible for reviewing damage descriptions and scopes of work for policy compliance and entering applications into federal grants database- Evaluated and implemented improvements to reporting and sub-grant processes affecting a staff of 70 in the Public Assistance (PA) program- Developed Emergency Operations Plans, such as Geological Hazards Plan and Cyber Failure Plan, for local and state jurisdictions in Texas
