About Tommy Kent
Having worked with the Epic Beaker lab module in multiple large hospital/university settings (certified in both CP and AP) for the past few years, I am hoping to continue to grow my knowledge base on how the laboratory module works and of the build that goes into creating a more content end user, as Beaker continues to mature and evolve. Having gone through new version upgrades, implementations (including installations as a standalone install and in the big bang method), and build, I feel I have a tremendous amount of build experience on how the lab module is built, operates, and integrates with other modules (including non-Epic applications).I have a large knowledge base around pre and post analytic workflows and have a strong background in lab billing (Including certifications in HB and charge router class attendance). I have also built out many of the different lab sections, many of the reports that are required for Beaker and have built and tested many of the many other aspects of the lab.Continuing to help my clients increase productivity, remove erroneous steps and streamline workflows is high on my list of priorities as I continue to learn and grow with the Beaker application. I am hoping that I can continue to work on multiple large hospital installations across the country to help those clients provide a better product/installation for their end users.Previous Installations:Providence Alaska Medical Center: 371 Bed Hospital, 3 Clinics, 6 Lab Patient Service CentersAllina Health: 14 Hospitals including Abbott Northwestern (627 Beds), 90 ClinicsStanford Hospital and Clinics: 1 Hospital (613 Beds)
Listed skills include Epic Systems, Emr, Hospitals, Healthcare Information Technology, and 22 others.
