Whisky bar in Portland

Partnered with Chef Aaron Barnett to create a neighborhood, coastal European-inspired bistro and cocktail bar in the Clinton neighborhood of SE Portland.

La Cata is the first and only brand-independent tequila tasting room in Tequila town. Hundreds of 100% agave tequilas are served in guided educational "flights," or a la carte. Guests also enjoy craft cocktails, Mexican beer and wine, and light local fare.

Opened, curated, & sourced the original spirits inventory for the Multnomah Whiskey Library as well as created the bar program to support it.

Creating program director at Kask in Portland since it's opening in July of 2011. Kask specializes in craft cocktails, spirits, artisan meats, and cheeses. With a focus on craft spirits along with a number of cocktails for your imbibing pleasure. Under my tenure it was named best bars of 2012 in Esquire magazine in article written by David Wondrich.

Teardrop was one of the very first craft cocktail bars in Portland. Known for making their own bitters before it was cool as well as house made tonics, shrubs, syrups and even vermouth. Here I maintained my role as a a full time bartender and worked to manage both industry and consumer events.
