Tommy is with the Land Acquisition team at The AES Corporation, a NYSE-traded global clean energy company, where he works with farmers and ranchers to source land for large acreage, utility-scale solar projects in the central and western U.S. Prior to this he spent many years in the farm/ranch realty advisory sector, first building a new ranch division at Douglas Elliman Aspen, and later moving to premier brokerage firm, Mirr Ranch Group, where he rose to a Senior Vice President position. Tommy has closed over $150M in ranchland deals and remains an MRG-affiliated agent. Tommy is a purpose-driven executive who’s passionate about using his land advisory skills to not only close large landscape deals for his clients, but also to advance climate solutions and conservation outcomes. Earlier in his career he was involved extensively in land and water conservation, having built and managed a successful working lands protection program with Colorado West Land Trust, where he secured dozens of conservation easements. Tommy was also involved in western water policy at American Rivers’ Colorado River program and as a board member at national nonprofit River Network. Tommy has consulted recently in fields such as distributed hydropower, regenerative agriculture, and healthy soils, and served as a brand ambassador and business development consultant for various tech startups in the renewables and ag-tech spaces. Tommy's mission is to use his ecology-oriented real estate skills to help decarbonize the planet and protect the natural resources and landscapes that he loves.
