I began having a background in life and health insurance, as well as securities trading. Within one week I obtained my property and casualty license and was ready to sell Professional Liability (E&O) insurance to Financial Institutions. I was a quick study, and with having both the insurance and securities industry background, I was ready to hit the ground running. My responsibilities were simple, acquire new business. I was given a few house accounts to service and maintain as well, which allowed me to understand the product I was selling. This further allowed me to achieve my goal of bringing on new clients. Within one year I had brought in over $1,000,000 in premium and began developing a significant book of business including several Broker-Dealers and Registered Investment Advisors.
