About Tom Norland

With over 45 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, I have a deep and broad knowledge of thru tubing intervention and well services worldwide. I have worked for leading companies such as Otis Overseas, Flopetrol/Schlumberger, Smedvig, PES, Haliburton, and PTC/Interwell, and now working for myself through my own consulting company, Zedo. For the last ten years, I have been vice president of PTC business developments and Manager UK in charge of operations and sales in Baku and the UK, working closely with BP and other clients in both places. My specialities include slickline, braided line, well testing, high-pressure wireline, through tubing systems, fishing, gas-lift equipment, chemical injection and other wellhead equipment, and VR-Tools.My dedication to the industry is not just a claim, but a proven fact through my active memberships. I served as a member of the API committee 19 G for gas lifts and equipment for 7 years, and have been a part of the SPE EuALFl in Aberdeen for the last 15 years, actively contributing to the advancement of our field.I have been a board member and president of the Norwegian-British Chamber of Commerce for 10 years, where I played a key role in promoting trade and investment between Norway and the UK. During my tenure, we facilitated numerous business partnerships and investment opportunities in the oil and gas sector, and provided a valuable meeting place for industry professionals.
