Tomo Carter is a professional musician specializing in drums, percussion, backing vocals and piano. He is also an expert in rehearsal, pre-production, production design, music direction, technical direction, and is an expert in using the latest production software.Tomo is the drummer in critically acclaimed band Miro Shot that has toured the world’s first live Virtual Reality concert in sold out shows in London, Paris, Hamburg, and Amsterdam (as featured in Forbes, Musically, Water and Music, the BBC and more). Tomo and the Miro Shot Collective, the open source part of the band with coders, designers and new media artists, are furthering research and development in the use of new and emerging technology in live performance and virtual concert experiences, having performed in theatres, stadiums, festivals and art galleries around the world. As the Music Director for Overview Ark, one of the UK’s top startups in music and tech, Tomo brings his knowledge of the live events industry and experience in delivering music at large scale global events, in addition to his understanding of narrative arcs within a live show to create the next generation of live and virtual music experiences. Tomo has toured internationally, in sold out stadiums of up to 35,000 with world renowned artists. To date the show has been exhibited in Hamburg, London, Paris and Amsterdam, and online in virtual worlds where the collective have worked to scale an interactive cityscape in which fans are free to explore and interact. Tomo is endorsed by Razer, Roland, Sabian, Cosmic Ears, Protection Racket and iConnectivity for his work in music, technology and cutting edge live performance. He has deep knowledge in sampling and programming within Ableton and Logic, and a unique experience in live triggering sound/scene/lighting and haptic technology via MIDI and DMX. In 2009, Tomo graduated from the Academy Of Contemporary Music in 2009 with a B(Mus) Hons.
