I have been working on the backend server, focusing on Japanese character recognition, as well as front end platform, integrating Japanese. I was also in charge of communicating with Japanese enterprises of a variety of fields, asking for technical obstacles customers are facing, and proposing solutions through company services and PoCs. I had the opportunity to learn the basics of web service development and machine learning. Conducting research and joint project with enterprises, government, start-ups, and laboratories.[Achievements]• Maintain and optimize embedded software, for implementing self-localizing and ADAS hardware such as, RTK-GPS, LiDAR, millimeter-wave radar, gyro sensor, and camera, to achieve a trajectory tracking autonomous vehicle with up to 4 cm accuracy and hazard avoidance• Create and enhance programs to implement OEM and additional millimeter-wave radar, LiDAR, and cameras to detect objects in 360 degrees direction for hazard evading path plan• Develop multi-thread programs with shared memory, for vehicle control and sensor data reception, running running in under 1ms accuracy in loop time using multimedia timer• Create and improve 3D simulation and visualizer software for autonomous vehicle. Some key features are:- recording and exporting data of new or altered features, waypoints, test locations, and hardware installations for validation and regression testing- interact partially or fully with all vehicle sensors with pseudo signals, in both simulation and real vehicle to evaluate and record the performance of the entire vehicle and individual sensors- playback of recorded, and display of real time data such as CAN and LiDAR of real vehicle- simulate vehicle behaviors in conditions where sensor data are limited

Keio University Omae Lab Group• Creation of autonomous vehicle, for evaluating newly launched satellite system, using high-precision positioning technology and high-precision map.• Experience working with other group companies to successfully accomplish this project and demonstrate during the grand finale event.

Autonomous Vehicle Team• prepared an autonomous vehicle based on a production car(Toyota Estima HV)to drive around campus during the event• created an intensity map and measured the GPS reception on campus of around 500 square meters area

Hand on training experience with Toyota Engineers, and a team of 6 interns to learn about next generation autonomous vehicles system development.[Achievements] • Improved traditional controls of vehicles to better suit autonomous vehicle, evaluating the using CarSim and MATLAB Simulink.• Critical thinking using LiDAR, GPS and millimeter-wave radar to construct the best solution for the given tasks.• Awarded first prize in two of the two criteria (best performance and best presentation) and best overall out of the 40 interns.
