The Communities And Police Partnership (TCAPP) is an initiative to enhance the relationship between communities and police in metro Atlanta. Following upcoming pilot studies in selected metro Atlanta communities, our intended programs will build on the successes of Community & Problem Oriented Policing approaches from overseas and right here in Georgia. Through these efforts, we can better prevent and solve crime, increase confidence in public safety, and ensure a better, more productive discourse between communities and the police who serve them.

• Successfully developed bespoke communications strategies for private, public, and nonprofit organizations to increase engagement and promote key messages to the public and potential clients • Created and edited content for businesses, media outlets, nonprofit organizations, governmental departments, and individuals, ranging from editorials, feature news stories, press releases, correspondence, newsletters, speeches, talking points, and online content • Advised on project management to improve staff management, timelines, and outcomes

Member of a team of international experts for a €30m European Union project that worked to transform policing in Myanmar at all levels

Conducted a countrywide study and analysis of elderly women’s experience in Myanmar and wrote subsequent policy recommendations for HelpAge Myanmar; recommendations were later published as a chapter in Financial Security of Older Women: Perspectives from Southeast Asia by the Tsao Foundation

Successfully increased Japan’s partnerships and political influence across the Southeastern U.S. by designing and managing comprehensive relationship-building strategies for relevant stakeholders, including local, state, and federal government in five U.S. states, 200+ private companies, 20+ universities, 50+ cultural groups, and numerous high profile community leaders

• Managed election observation projects in West Africa, North Africa, and Central Asia• Oversaw project administration and logistics, including timeframes, donor reports, contracts, budget drafts, meeting schedules, event planning, and supervision of staff • Traveled to post-conflict, newly democratic countries to establish offices and onboard new staff

• Managed the Carter Center’s logistical operations during the South Sudan independence referendum• Advised U.S. Secret Service on arrangements for President Carter’s travel and security while in Sudan • Worked closely with the Sudanese government to obtain visas and travel permits for international observers• Trained election observers on best practices for security and travel

• Researched, analyzed, and drafted reports about the progress of The Access to Justice project and political trends in Liberia• Designed cloud computing system for managing, organizing, and sharing global contacts; wrote technical guide for staff on use of this system

• Drafted progress reports and catalogued objectives for CARE Australia’s programs in several countries• Contributed to the rollout of CARE International’s web-based emergencies guide
