Through my background in Economics, Business, Charity and Blockchain I have always looked to how Technology can help create a better, more efficient world.My educational and initial work experience pushed me towards, trading, investing, economic analysis. But my passion for innovation and technology pushed me more towards entrepreneurialism, product building, management, operations management and technical research.Another massive part of my background is my 16 years in the charity industry. Having grown up in the industry I have gone from standing on the side of the road with a bucket asking strangers to donate to Africa. To organising fundraising events. To going to Uganda for 2 months to work on construction and education programmes. To Operationalising and running an ICT Centre in a slum in Uganda, teaching those with no other skills how to be productive in the digital economy.In 2019 I deep-dived into Blockchain technology and the incredible combination of various computer science & mathematical inventions all intertwined to create a new foundation for the internet and economics as a whole. After 4 years experience in the industry I founded & co-host a Podcast called xSpaces, where we have interviewed over 60 founders & Companies, and have had over 100k listeners in just over a year.From there I started to think about how Blockchain could be leveraged to help other industries, that are in desperate need of innovation. The obvious candidate was the charity industry. Never has an industry lagged behind as much as the charity one, in my opinion. And having seen the need for change becoming so great in recent times, Philanthrify was born. And so was my journey into the Startup world.
