Over 60,000 data points were recorded from the analysis of 1,194 position descriptions and 6,211 personnel billets and 1,124 hours of interviews with 1,297 Marine Corps personnel were performed. The team provided recommendations regarding a target future state and developed a roadmap to address gaps and achieve the future state.The Independent analysis provided information needed by HQMC C4 leadership to make decisions on the efficient and effective organization and size of the USMC IT workforce as well as specific actions to improve enterprise-wide IT governance, technology and processes. The Vintun Roadmap was endorsed at the highest levels of the Marine Corps, including the Assistant Commandant and Deputy Commandant for Information, and became the basis for a detailed Marine Corps-wide implementation plan
