Senior Creative
For the last year, I've worked at the UK’s leading business-to-business marketing agency as design and creative lead of a retained team, helping Accenture work alongside Meta to explore what the digital world of tomorrow might look like. As part of this, I got to work a huge range of fascinating projects, where no two days were alike - from developing a visual identity for Accenture’s Innovation Team, to conceiving and building virtual worlds, as well as helping Meta’s engineers in Reality Labs showcase their groundbreaking technical work for the next generation of Meta Quest VR headsets.• Responsible for the overall creative vision and output on a multi-million dollar retained account, managing a team of designers, writers and strategists based all around the world (and so around the clock) to deliver consistently outstanding creative work, often to incredibly tight deadlines.• Concepted, art directed and directed video and photo shoots from scamp, to storyboard, to shoot and beyond - often remotely at locations as far afield as San Francisco, and on one memorable occasion, within a virtual world.• Helped Accenture consultants and strategists to deliver high-concept new business proposals to Meta by taking their highly- technical approach and making it bolder, brighter and far more human-centric, to winning effect.• Designed and co-authored a weekly newsletter - ‘web3weekly’ - focusing on current events in the spheres of cryptocurrency, the metaverse, tech and other relevant topics, which had a large engaged readership.• Worked with senior Accenture leadership to develop and create a holiday card experience like no other - a fully-fledged educational game experience within three virtual worlds, created entirely in Meta’s Horizon Worlds and developed in partnership with tree planting charities to encourage reforestation.

Design lead on some of Scotland’s biggest brands, from Tennent’s Lager to the Citizens Theatre. I’ve built gorgeous content for the likes of Whyte and Mackay, The Edinburgh Fringe, Highland Spring and Macsween Haggis, and help develop and protect their brands. Sometimes that’s sitting with a pen and paper, thinking about tone of voice and visual identity, and sometimes it’s driving business results and making the magic happen with the usual Creative Suite suspects. It’s keeping a lot of plates spinning, for a lot of stakeholders.Fun fact! I starred in a video for Magners Cider that parodied the popular Rick Lax magic card trick YouTube videos, as well as harnessing the then-popular ‘Send Nudes’ meme. The video had over three million views, and had unexpected consequences for the Magners social channels inboxes. Bad ones.• Co-ordinated creative output on large campaigns across multiple touchpoints from both internal teams and external freelance resources, as well as providing mentorship for all members of the creative staff.• Concepted, designed and prepared artwork for marketing campaigns across broadcast digital and print assets, using a collaborative creative approach.• Created countless digital executions, such as websites, mobile and web app designs, landing pages, social assets and posts, as well as photography and video editing for both client and in-house use.• Provided art direction on several large-scale campaigns and individual jobs, as well as photo and video shoots across a huge range of disciplines.• Liased with external suppliers to produce print assets in a huge range of sizes, from tiny newspaper ads to enormous OOH executions, as well as ornate bespoke handcrafted print jobs for high-end whisky clients.
Designer
Heavyweight digital/print designer with one the world’s most consistently highest-rated creative agencies. I worked as part of a large creative team on everything from small single-play pieces for media clients to larger collaborative projects with international offices. I looked after brands like BUPA, Honda F1, Premier Inn and Standard life and got to create some really dynamic content, especially with Lost Boys, an experimental boutique in-house social agency.Fun fact! I won first prize at the DLBi Halloween party for my Ghostbusters outfit, which was - somewhat ironically - a bottle of spirits.• Produced a huge range of digital assets, from social posts and websites to HTML emails and infographics, and everything in between.• Responsible for planning and creating social content from storyboard to finished viral GIFs and posts.• Produced illustration work across a huge range of styles and mediums (including animation work)• Stakeholder management was at the heart of this client-facing role. Understanding what audiences wanted and communicating that effectively was an important part of the role. These skills helped me successfully pitch for new business for the company on many occasions.• I mentored junior team members and assisted with their creative and technical development.

My role in APCO’s dedicated Studio/Online design team primarily consisted of working to support the firm’s new business function – this meant designing visual assets for pitches and presentations, including on-screen presentations, boards, leaflets, brochures, flyers, websites (including mobile versions), HTML emails, logos, brand ID and other graphical assets as required for a broad range of potential clients. I also worked on the concept and development of campaigns and presentations, and frequently presented with the pitch team, with successful results.Fun fact! When I was at APCO, I helped pitch for, won, and worked for a short lived trade group called the Yogurt Council. No, really. It’s true, such a thing did actually exist.

At the Isle of Man’s leading digital agency, I created print and digital work for a diverse client base, from financial service groups to luxury hotels. I wireframed and designed websites, managed email campaigns and developed my copywriting and brand development skills.
Junior Creative And Designer
An extremely broad job role covering all aspects of the web design process, often specialising in web game conception, design, development and production. I worked with brands like First Direct, Nestlé, Hallmark. I worked on conception and creation of a campaign for Asda which won several industry awards and was launched by the then- Secretary of State Ed Balls.Fun fact! I once had to explain to a colleague why I was removing a male model’s nipples using Photoshop while I was designing a website for Aero Bubbles. That was an interesting chat.
