I strive to be adventurous, courageous, strategic and authentic, and to maybe, one day, win Wildlife Photographer of the Year.CAREER HIGHLIGHTS ⭐ Improving the health of Australia's rivers by leading ecological research. I have produced 25+ papers with 1600+ citations (h-index = 15), 2 book chapters and several first-class Honours and PhD graduates.⭐ Shooting for National Geographic as an Expedition Photographer in the Amazon. I have also studied Photojournalism at The Australian Centre for Photography, produced 3 solo photo exhibitions and crowd funded a photo book.⭐ Helping a dozen research labs become great at science communication. I distilled this consulting experience into a simple, effective framework for research communication and engagement.WHAT’S NEXT?Right now, I’m leading multi-disciplinary stakeholder research and engagement efforts. This includes work on social dynamics and behavioural economics. My first exhibition in this space 'Water for Wildlife' opened in September 2016. It featured 20 of my best images from the Macquarie Marshes, one of Australia's most important wetlands. I then presented ‘The Beach This Evening', a collection of contemporary ocean imagery. -
