The Global Wetlands Project is an exciting initiative coordinated by Griffith University's Australia's Rivers Institute. Its goal is to improve protection and restoration of mangrove, seagrass and saltmarsh habitat. My role was to drive comms & engagement to elevate impact.

Queenscliff, Victoria

I was honoured to be Photographer in Residence at Belsize and Co. in Queenscliff, Victoria. My first exhibition in this space 'Water for Wildlife' opened in September 2016. It featured 20 of my best images from the Macquarie Marshes, one of Australia's most important wetlands. I then presented ‘The Beach This Evening', a collection of contemporary ocean imagery.

At Tenure Chasers, I helped academics, research labs and projects improve their communication. I helped our clients establish their niche, develop their goals and craft strategies to make those goals a reality. I built distinctive websites, with beautiful images, that linked their work to the real world.

Darwin, Australia

A diverse and demanding role including project leadership, strategic administration and internal engagement. I co-ordinated conferences, facilitated writing workshops, and developed cross-disciplinary collaboration. I was also research active, with projects on ecogenomics and food web function in Kakadu.

ARC-funded research focused on field-based community ecology for environmental decision making and conservation outcomes in conflict-driven landscapes, particularly around environmental flows. Port Stephens Fisheries Centre

I was involved in the research & management of freshwater fish populations in NSW, including threatened & alien species. I led removal of invasive species from small aquatic systems in the Sydney area, responding to new leads on invasive pests and communicating this work with a range of stakeholders.

I travelled NSW sampling fish communities for a range of projects related to threatened species, environmental flows, impact assessment and estuarine monitoring. I also constructed the database used to contain all freshwater fish records collected by NSW Fisheries since the 1970s to today.
