Following my contribution to the BBC's 2020 Project that set a vision for future digital services, I am currently leading a project to provide a creative framework and inspiration for digital storytelling at the BBC.

Conceived and developed Games Grid, a suite of tools and services that supports and drives the BBC's games portfolio. I took Games Grid from one line concept to fully functional platform with features that include a connected games database grounded in a newly devised ontology, simplified login and state storage, high scores and leader-boards, achievements, social tools & analytics. Led an editorial team responsible for strategic input on commissioning, delivering and syndicating games from all of the BBC's production areas. Worked closely with UK games industry talent and commercial colleagues in BBC Worldwide.Advised teams on the integration of games mechanics into functional software with the aim of increasing engagement and loyalty. Worked with the Knowledge & Learning team to define the new product as part of the recent reorganisation of digital services.
Executive Producer, Battlefield Academy
I was responsible for the licensing of existing web-based casual game Battlefield Academy to independent production company Slitherine, securing a revenue split deal to port the title to new platforms, starting with PC. Throughout the game's development I acted as brand manager for the BBC, working with Slitherine to ensure that quality levels and brand values were maintained. This included:- A mobile application for Eastenders that allows viewers to interact with the live programme- 3 new interactive narrative webisode formats based around new IP (currently on the drama slate)- A interactive narrative camera technique that allows the seamless joining of video decision points- New video-based interactive narrative gaming techniques
