Application EngineerMdig Nov 2021 - Jun 2024My role as Applications Engineer with MDiG is currently focused on our data preparation and training offerings. I coordinate the work the team undertakes in preparing customer design data for use with machine control systems. This includes costing and scheduling work, liaising with designers and customers to solve issues, quality checking and using remote access to set up machines with the completed data.I am currently working to create online training materials and an associated app to update the way we deliver training to our customers. This process has involved sourcing an appropriate learning management system, creating text, video and image content to cover training for machine operators and site engineers. I have overall responsibility for completing this task and the MDiG Academy has been launched on schedule.I also provide support for our customers over the phone and via remote access to machines on site and assist my sales colleagues at shows and on customer visits. As a GVC qualified drone pilot I carry out flights on customer sites for terrain mapping and progress monitoring purposes. -
