I am a design engineer with over 18 years of experience in consumer electronics, aviation electronics, and military systems.My first job at an engineering company was a short summer stint digging rocks on a local beach for an environmental engineering assessment. Later starting out at a local electro-optics company as an assembler, I progressed to technical work, drafting, and ultimately was invited to join the mechanical engineering team. Since then I have had the privilege to design products for several companies including Apple and Amazon and have the satisfaction of knowing that these products have improved the lives of millions of people.When I am not in the office, I love to spend time with family, play board games, travel, fabricate and weld parts for our overland/adventure vehicle, woodwork, garden, and read.
