  • Olv Charities
    Chief Creative Officer (Cco)
Olv Charities Aug 2015 - Present
    Lackawanna, Ny
It has been a whirlwind since the creative team was assembled in Jan. 2021, In that time, so much has been accomplished: thousands of visitors flocking to the OLV Basilica for the many events that have been held for its Centennial Celebration, the creation of a 30-minute documentary on Father Baker for an international Catholic media group (EWTN), the creation of a new signature publication (Centennial magazine) that is sent to 15,000 key stakeholders biannually, more than $450,000 in ad equivalency value from our media relations efforts, the production of three new podcasts, the addition of social media coordinator and digital media internship positions within the team, and a coveted "Best in Show" honor at the 2022 PRSA Buffalo/Niagara Excalibur Awards dinner. As Director of Annual Giving, led the team to best-ever years in e-giving revenue (2018, 2019 and 2020) and acquisition efficiency (2020). We also led the way in direct-mail net revenue in 2020, and realized marked improvement in the area of donation processing (93%+ of all gifts within four business days in 2019 and 2020). Despite the difficulties of 2020, the AG team worked hard to produce an 8% rise in overall income from the prior year. Our team was honored with a 2018 Lumen Award from the National Catholic Development Conference for creativity and results in our direct-mail acquisition program. As Director of Public Relations & Special Events, the team jump-started OLV's first-ever forays into social media and e-philanthropy in 2016, launched four new websites, planned a spring fundraiser that posted gains in net and gross revenues for the first time in six years, and created the organization's first-ever, stand-alone Annual Report.
  • Canisius High School
    Director Of Communications
Canisius High School Aug 2014 - Aug 2015
The generation of quality content allowed me to grow the school’s social-media community by more than 41%, adding 2,200+ followers in 11 months. This triggered measurable increases in alumni engagement and online giving. I oversaw the production of two alumni magazine issues and an annual report – the first time all three had been delivered on time and under budget. Other program firsts included the creation of an e-newsletter for parents and alums and the design/production of a recruitment piece specifically geared for teens (Crusader!).
  • Charter School For Applied Technologies
    Chief Communications Officer
Charter School For Applied Technologies Oct 2007 - Oct 2013
    Buffalo, Ny
During my four years on campus, CSAT saw record-high numbers of new student applications and an increase in corporate support. In addition, I developed several internal communications vehicles including an award-winning peer recognition program, created and managed several special events for internal and external audiences, orchestrated all crisis communications and governmental advocacy campaigns, designed all publications, managed the school’s website content, directed annual media buys and oversaw a staff photographer and public relations coordinator. I spent the 2010-11 school year splitting time between CSAT and the school's for-profit affiliate, eDoctrina Corporation. As eDoctrina's marketing and brand development lead, I planned and directed all marketing and sales activities. Between 2010-12, the company saw a dramatic rise in sales revenues – including a 325% increase between 2012 and 2013. Additional responsibilities included: conducting regular assessments of marketing programs and researching new opportunities, handling all sales activities including live and webinar-based presentations, preparing eDoctrina's response to RFPs, designing publications, and directing all trade show activities.
