Thunderbird Advisors has extensive experience in the development, construction and operation of renewable energy facilities. We have considerable experience negotiating and executing EPC contracts on major construction projects across the United States and Canada. Thunderbird was founded with the intent of helping clients navigate the engineering and construction processes, while maintaining a high degree of quality throughout. As consultants, we have worked primarily for Renewable Energy Developers and Investment Banks providing Project Management for engineering and construction along with EPC cost estimating, due diligence, request for proposals, contract negotiation, and procurement.

Specialized in front-end sales & marketing by developing new relationships, delivering the Barnhart message and creating opportunity for the company. I created opportunity for contract WTG erection, BOP construction and turbine maintenance through cold calling, trade shows, industry events, prospecting, networking, referrals and social media. As the market changed over the last three years I built new service lines to utilize Barnhart’s expanded tool inventory and manpower. I increased margin on those service lines and broke the traditional “Crane & Rigging” mold that defines Barnhart. I managed the marketing aspects of the renewables group by planning our annual AWEA booth and event, as well as, creating new promotional material and writing articles for trade publications.

Responsibilities included: preparing components of the wind turbine system prior to assembly, overseeing erection of WTG and assisting to mechanically complete the wind turbine system post assembly. Ensuring the turbine is installed in accordance with the OEM installation manual and that all documentation was completed and correct. I also served as a Manager for the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan to ensure all earth displacement was done in compliance with the State of New York.
