“READY, SET, GO!” I would say as I exited out of a perfectly good airplane 2 ½ miles above the earth. The genesis of starting a professional Skydiving School was a dream that I had come up with as I put together a comprehensive business plan in college. Upon due diligence, I started Skyworld Skydiving School and we were training our first students less than 2 months after graduation. The plan was agile and scaled as we experienced rapid growth that leveraged trade, promotions & other events to draw attention. The sale of the school was predicated on an extraordinary customer experience, innovation, marketing and reputation that lead to repeat business. This single successful business (ad)venture set the standard & shaped how I would proceed throughout my professional career with the highest level of ethics and customer satisfaction but without the added fear of dying from a skydive. 😊From WNEP in PA, to NEP Supershooters, I am the 3rd generation in the Shelburne family to make my career in television. Soon after the skydiving, I started as an entry level Tape Op at a small station and worked my way up. I ultimately attained my goal as a full-time LA news, sports & entertainment TD. I earned 5 Sports Emmys for Live Outstanding Series as a Technical Director. Leveraging my Business degrees, I went on to new endeavors in television & media: managing, operations and innovative broadcast projects. My technical depth of experience, business ethics, honorable reputation and broadcast knowledge gives me a unique perspective -- an asset in serving customers.
