Tom Solomon is an experienced finance and strategy leader who has held leadership roles in multiple entreprenurial organizations. In his current role as Senior Director of Corporate Development and Strategic Finance, Tom is focused on fundraising, strategic partnerships, M&As, long-range business planning, and financial analysis. Tom has led financial diligence on all fundraising rounds at Rivian and has ownership for the company’s long-range financial and business plan. Tom is one of the first 25 employees of Rivian and has lead or supported a number of initiatives including consumer finance, brand launch, strategic partnerships, executive search, go-to-market, and retail strategy. Prior to Rivian, Tom worked at ETC Capital where they took positions of $2-25M in pre-revenue companies. Tom’s responsibilities included sourcing deal flow, due diligence, operations, and finance and accounting for all portfolio companies. Previously, Tom worked at Plante Moran in their audit practice.Tom is a graduate of the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business MBA program. He holds a Master’s in Accounting and Bachelor’s in Accounting from Michigan State University. Additionally, he is a certified public accountant.
